Did you ever look at a piece of fabric in your stash and wonder: WHAT WAS I THINKING WHEN I BOUGHT THAT! Well, that's what I did when I pulled out this piece - the selvage says "Alexander Henry Collection" and I am guessing I bought it around the year 2000...I probably had a plan but I'm not sure what. Maybe I was in the same condition that the birds seem to be! Anyway, I pulled it out to do some experimenting with techniques. I am trying to do the open seam thing and it seems to be working...the triangle points are coming out great. I'll have to upload the finished project later but wanted to share the fabric now!

Yes, I've done that many times. Now I keep a list of projects with a swatch of fabric or just a sketch or description of fabrics I want to use with the idea. I've given away loads of fabrics in the past just because I had forgotten what on earth I was going to do with it.
