orphan Christmas runner

I looked at the pile I have stacked in my UFO basket and decided I really should do something with them now that the year is coming to an end. I found these two blocks that I made in a class taught by Biker Dude quite a while ago. I knew I wasn't going to make the whole quilt but took the class anyway. So I just put them together to make a Christmasy runner. You can't see the quilting very well but I made three rows of decorative stitches in the center white spots. The links are quilted in the ditch. It is all quilted with gold colored thread. It does make a nice piece when I put a candle in the middle where the colors meet. It ended up being about 24x12. Didn't take very long and I feel like I accomplished something.

UFOs *sigh* So many to deal with. But this was a great use for your blocks. Festive and just right for the season. Cross that one off your list.

It looks cute. I was able to see your decorative stitching when I clicked twice on the photo. Good idea to do that.
