Here is a picture that shows the area of the sunroom that I posted last time. We hurried to get the room back together before company comes today! Last night I got some hand applique things ready to work on while company is here because it is certain that I won't get anytime to work at the sewing machine.
Saying "a different look" makes me ponder about quilting patterns and such. I don't usually follow a pattern, even if I like the look. I always change things and design my own. I was talking about this with some quilting friends and they felt that designing ones own is very intimidating. What do you think? Do you like to design your own or do you like to have a pattern with definite directions so you end up with a project like the one you saw?

I seem to like a pattern as a guideline but then I tend to deviate and make some changes along the way!
It's a lovely room! I usually follow the pattern, but make some changes. I have made my own on EQ, and enjoy that too.

I start out following a pattern, and then pull away from it.
The room looks fabulous! I like to switch things up a bit as well in quilting and sewing.
Have fun with your guests.
Hmm, I like a pattern, but also like to stray from it and do my own thing. For a long time, I thought I had to make everything just like the pattern said. LOL I was a new quilter. I have been quilting for almost 4 years now, and doing my own thing is much more enjoyable. (grin) Your room looks great. Good job. Winona
I love your room, I think I would spend all my days in that room...
Started out quilting by doing my own thing. Later I read and used block patterns. Still later I really learned about quilting and patterns here in DE. Still like to go back to designing my own. Wishing for EQ7 to help!

You sun room makes me want to grab a book and curl up, very nice how you put it together. I like patterns but then I also like to make up my own.
Love your sunroom! It looks so inviting. I like patterns, but I don't think I have ever actually made an entire quilt from one. I usually just use them for inspiration.
I really love the warm, soft yellow color on your walls! I think yellow encourages creativity and imagination.
I am in love with your sunroom! I want to just move into it and stay forever.....I won't, but I wanna!
