time for a new stove

I've had it with the old one....before Christmas I had an idea that something might be going bad...a couple of recipes I made didn't bake in the time the recipes said (but they were new recipes so I figured that may be it) but today I have had it.  Breads I made cooked on the outside but not on the inside... So I know it must be the oven. As I think back, this was really a problem before Christmas. Cookies didn't really get brown on the bottoms, nor did pies.
The stove is 10 years old...it is the one that was in the house when we bought the house several years ago. I didn't like the stove then and wanted a new one but you know how it is....if it ain't broke, don't fix it....and there are so many things to do when you get a new house.

So this week my project is to go stove shopping!

Now if my baking doesn't improve....well, at least I got a new stove out of it.

A week ago our stove blew. We were in the kitchen and heard this pop, hiss, sizzzle noice. When we opened the oven, the element had burned out. We were going to replace the stove in a couple of weeks, bought it before Christmas and it was sitting in the garage. Now it is installed, a gas stove for the first time, and it is wonderful. And this leads to: new cabinets, floors and sink, and a new fridge and dishwasher!!@! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy.
