remembering

Today I have been thinking about a dear friend who lives far away. Before I moved, she and I spent time together almost every day. We often had tea after work. I made this quilt for her when she retired. It features butterfly fabric...butterflies symbolize freedom and rebirth....I often wish that we could just pop over to each other's houses like we used to do....but now we are too many miles apart.
She planned to visit us here at the beach this fall but her back has not healed well from her surgery...maybe we can get together soon.

I hope she gets to visit with you soon, too!

What a happy quilt, and generous gesture to make it for her. Enjoy your visit when at last you do get together.
