been a long, long time

I know it has been several weeks since I actually blogged myself even though I have visited blogs that I follow. I have been busy with family and my new machine! Of course, I had to rearrange the sewing area to make more room. Here's the machine. The rest of the room is way too messy to show!

I even did some applique. This is just one of the pieces I did. I also made a bunny table runner and a heron wall hanging that are now waiting to be quilted.

Our grandson had his first overnight without his parents at Nana and PopPop's since he was a tiny baby.... he loved to play with the remote control helicopter with PopPop.

I sewed some fabric purses using a Lazy Girl pattern...I adjusted the black and white one to make the pattern larger so I could carry my camera in it. The purses and matching wallets are really easy!

Then we visited the other grandkids (and their mom and dad). While we were there we had a family karaoke night. They are all much more musical than I am...but we sure had fun. "Nana can sure shake her booty" according to my granddaughter.
In between I sewed 4 of my blocks from the green and white no-sew swap that Pat from A Little of This and A Little of Pat coordinated. I can't wait to get them all done.  Pat came to visit and we had a great time chatting and looking at patterns.

And  I went to yoga and swimming and packed for our Florida trip.

I got some good news from a fellow blogger at CootieBug2 that I won her giveaway which was a real treat as I don't enter a lot of giveaways. I have followed her blog for a long time. You should visit her tool

So my good blogging friends, you may not see another post from me for a while as Sunday I am leaving for Florida and when I return, I'll be heading to Lancaster PA for the AQS show.

It sounds like you have been enjoying yourself. The blocks are all lovely and there is nothing better than spending time with grandchildren.

Have a safe trip.
