a finished project

A while ago I blogged about the quilt my 7 year old granddaughter was making with me. I finally got it quilted and ready to mail to her. Here it is. It is about 36x36.
Now I am back to doing some things for me. Working on my little girls from a previous post. I made 8 girls but now I am going to make 8 more. As I go along, I am learning some applique tricks that will certainly be used when I decide to do a more complicated blocks. One thing I have determined is that the fabric I am using for the shoes is too coarse -it doesn't turn under well. I am also dreaming up more quilts to do. I just have to dream up the time!!
I really have to get a hanging strip on one of the quilts I am putting in the Kent/Sussex quilt show this coming weekend! I never put a quilt in a show before and so I am a little nervous.
Well, less blogging, more sewing....

Your grandaughters quilt is wonderful. Good luck with the show. And when you figure out how to dream up time let me know. I could sure use some.

That is so special working on a quilt together with your grandaughter. It will be a treasure to her. I hope I can remember to do that someday with my grandaughter.

Beautiful quilt!!!

Thanks for stopping by and looking at our Home Tour today. That cute little cottage is:

"a 3-Bedroom, 2 Bath House, with almost 1700 square feet of living space, a HUGE, dry 5' tall crawl space, Boat House, Large mature trees, with a beautiful view of the water...where you can see shoreline on the opposite side - not just an infinity view of water!!! The Master Bedroom Suite is on the 1st floor and the other 2 Bedrooms and Bathroom are in the loft, overlooking the Great Room and Dining Room."

A wee bit more than a cottage...and a great place to call home. Glad you liked it!!!

~Blessings,
Jan
