Another from my collection

Here is another cup from my remind you about the virtual tea party coming up next week. See yesterday's blog for details.

My great-great-grandmother had hand-painted a set of 12 China cups and saucers. I had always hoped they'd go to me (being the oldest granchild when her grandson ....who owned the cups....died), so often happens with families...there was some sneaky business and not only did I not GET them, but they were disposed of and not kept in the family at all. They were gorgeous...12 different flowers...all beautifully done. I so wish I could have had even ONE matching cup and saucer she'd done. OH, well.....I'll just go over and enjoy Kathy's pretty teacups at her tea party! :)
