It has been a while since I posted. I spent the last few days at my son's babysitting while he was in CA fighting fires. He was in the northern part of the state. His staging spot was Redding. He got home today...safe and sound but very tired. He said it was a great experience and the people in CA were very supportive...but it was very hot and smoky so he really couldn't appreciate the CA views.
I am finally putting the binding on the Wizard of Oz quilt. Should be done by tonight. I need to hang my Log Cabin quilt then I am ready to start a new project!

It is amazing how small our world is! I wanted to see what a Delaware quilter was up to (when I was a child I lived in Bridgeville & my great grandmother Mary Ann Stoddard Stuart is in Delaware history books). I was a police/fire dispatcher for over 12 years and my mom lives where the Butte Fire was & her home was spared. Please, when you talk to your son, tell him thank you from the bottom of my heart! I may never meet him face to face or the countless others that worked so hard, but I am blessed they saved my families home & so many others. God Bless him and I love the Wizard Quilt!
